Welcome to the Lisburn Innovation Networks Programme dedicated project website. The programme is funded by Lisburn City Council and the European Union under the Programme for Sustainable Competitiveness 2007-2013 and aims to place innovation and research at the core of local business development. Local companies will be assisted to identify new technologies, new processes, new systems or products which will add value, assist business growth and improve overall business competitiveness.
The programme is unique in that it will also support and facilitate the commercial exploitation of knowledge based research and new ideas from the University into viable products/services which will attract private sector investment and promote entrepreneurship. Successful projects will be launched into the marketplace either through new business development or by existing businesses.
Through this programme, innovation will be promoted as accessible by all, with businesses encouraged to network, and to share best practice and ideas around innovation thus maximising commercial opportunities, creating new jobs and helping to grow the local economy.
This website has been designed to be a key information point for participating businesses on the programme, as well as for those interested in finding out more about how the programme may benefit their business, and how to access a wide range of innovation support. I would like to take this opportunity to wish you well on the programme and every future success with your business.
